Johannesburg Airport Parking Services coping with 2010 FIFA World Cup

Johannesburg is a living ever-changing organism, filled with history, major attraction clusters and fascinating cultures. The city hosts endless tourism attractions and top events. Visiting this wonderful city is something on every explorer’s list of must-see stops, especially to those visiting our beautiful country in 2010 for the FIFA World Cup. This is an enormous opportunity for our country, and even though we are overwhelmingly excited about the event, South Africa had to drastically improve and develop certain aspects of its infrastructure, including roads, hospitals and airports. Airports’ being the most crucial element, as it’s the gateway for all the tourists’ coming to South Africa. Therefore every little aspect of the airport has to be able to comply with the highest international standards, from a friendly service to the Johannesburg airport parking services.

With all the major attractions Johannesburg has to offer, it’s no wonder that its one of the busiest cities in South Africa. There are the obvious must see places such as the Apartheid Museum, Gold Reef City and Sandton’s Nelson Mandela Square, but also others truly South African experiences such as having a tribal meal at Lesedi Cultural Village. However, as Johannesburg had to grow and develop to exceed all expectations, so did OR Tambo International Airport.

OR Tambo International Airport (ORTIA) serves as the primary airport for domestic and international travel to and from South Africa, therefore Africa’s busiest airport, handling 19,440,000 passengers in 2007 alone. Access to and from the airport is the glue that holds it all together, consisting of bus, car and rail transit. ORTIA is busy with construction to achieve the new 5,200 multi-storey parkade with parking services such as Valet parking, long-term parking, free shuttle buses, drop off zones and ‘pick up and go’. Johannesburg airport parking services are constantly being worked on to enhance functionality; however they can prove to be an expensive endeavour. Other off airport parking establishments are available to suffice to all your parking needs, the most efficient being Babsi Airport parkade, only 8km from the airport with highly valued service and performance.
